Legacy Events: Preparing for FranConnect Data Migration
On May 19, your FranConnect data migrates to JBFOne. If you have an active event, here is exactly what happens, what you need to do, and what can wait.
What's covered in this article:
- What happens on May 19
- Understanding your legacy event in JBFOne
- How to access seller sign-ups for your legacy event
- How to download consignors for POS and how to access Team Member data
- How to segment legacy consignors into Constant Contact lists
What is a Legacy Event?
A legacy event is any active FranConnect event where registration moves to JBFOne mid-cycle. After May 19, new registrations happen in JBFOne instead of FranConnect. Your consignors may notice a new-looking screen and a password reset prompt, but the experience is seamless on their end.
Future Events: If you have a sale coming up that hasn’t been built yet, that happens in your cohort with guided support — not on your own. These instructions cover legacy event setup only, which applies to active events already in FranConnect that are moving to JBFOne to finish registration.
What Happens on May 19
Your FranConnect data migration is automatic. No action required on your part for the migration itself.
Here is what transfers on May 19:
- Your active event details move to JBFOne
- All consignors currently registered in FranConnect are migrated and marked as "pre-registered" for your active event.
- Any previous link you have provided to sellers will be pointed to JBFOne login. After the cutover, consignors who click a register/signup CTA link will see the new JBFOne legacy registration page instead of the FranConnect page. The registration process works the same — consignors register and are able to move to the tagging site as usual.
- If you supply a TicketSpice registration link, the process on the legacy registration page will open your TicketSpice page in a new tab.
What the Seller will Experience:

What to Do Now — and What to Wait On
Your legacy event is active in JBFOne, but not everything needs to be built today. Here is what to take care of now and what to hold until your cohort.
If you have an event happening in May or June, you do not need to do anything!!! The tech and marketing teams will handle the following steps for you!
Complete these steps now:
- Review Event Info — Navigate to Event Info and confirm your event details.
- Fields marked with a checkmark in the screenshot are already populated — no action needed.
- Fields marked with an arrow require your input: Consignor fee, Payout rate, External registration URL (TicketSpice/Eventbrite), and Event slug (short code for the end of a URL, e.g. Fall26 ).
Note: If you are currently collecting drop-off appointments in TicketSpice, continue doing so — no change needed. If you have not yet started appointments, you can plan to run them in JBFOne going forward.
- Turn off inactive Summary Cards — In Event Info → Landing Page, turn off any Summary Cards that are not relevant to your current sale. Inactive cards left on create a confusing first impression.
- Confirmation email — A transactional confirmation email is already sent on your behalf. If you previously built a custom confirmation email and would like to rebuild it in JBFOne, see [LINK TO COMMUNICATION EMAIL ARTICLE] for instructions.
- Keep sending sellers to your current webpage — Your existing website remains active. Continue directing consignors there for selling resources until your cohort date.
- Connect Constant Contact — If you have existing Constant Contact campaigns and drips, connect your JBFOne groups to your CC lists now to keep seller communication seamless through the transition.
Wait until your cohort for these:
You do not need to build your events, seller resources, schedules, or website yet. We will walk you through best practices so everything is set up correctly the first time.
How to Access Your Consignors
In JBFOne, all of your consignors live in one place regardless of which event they registered for.
Where to find it: Click Manage → Left nav → select Consignors.
Use the event dropdown to filter by a specific sale, or select ALL Events to view your full consignor list.

Understanding consignor status:
- Pre-registered — Consignor has completed registration but has not yet selected a drop-off time or paid fees. This is the equivalent of registering in FranConnect — before TicketSpice. Migrated consignors and all new registrations will appear here until they complete those next steps.
- In Progress — Consignor has started but not completed the full registration process.
- Confirmed — Consignor has completed registration, selected a drop-off time, and paid applicable fees.
- Abandoned / Cancelled / Expired — Consignor did not complete or cancelled their registration.
Understanding Your Legacy Event in JBFOne
Navigate to JBFOne as a seller and confirm your legacy event is visible. That's it.
Here's what happens when a consignor registers on or after May 19:
- Your JBFOne CRM is updated automatically. ✓
- The consignor receives a standard registration confirmation from JBFOne. ✓
- Your FranConnect confirmation email is no longer active. X
- Optional: Set up an automated follow-up in Constant Contact to replace it. (See the Constant Contact Communication Guide.)
How to Download Consignors, Team Members, and Tags for POS
Where to find it: Left nav → POS
Consignors
- In the left nav, click POS.
- You will see two download links for your consignor file. Download the tab-delimited file for POS import — it is already formatted correctly and ready to upload directly. No need to open, reformat, or resave.
- The Excel file is available if you want to view or edit your consignor list separately. ✓
Pro Tip: Skipping the open-and-resave step isn't just a time saver — it significantly reduces the risk of data corruption before your file hits POS.
Tags / Unsold Inventory
- In the left nav, click POS.
- Click the Unsold Inventory link and download the file. It is already in the correct format to upload directly into POS. ✓

Team Members
If you have already opened team member shifts in FranConnect, those shifts will continue to be collected there through the end of your current sale. Download your team member shift file from FranConnect as you always have. ✓

Submitting Your Royalty Report
Nothing has changed here. Continue submitting your royalty report through POS and acknowledging in FranConnect as you always have. Your financials remain accessible in FranConnect for review.
Optional: How to Organize Consignors into Constant Contact Lists
Once your legacy event is in JBFOne, you can organize your registered consignors into groups and connect them to your Constant Contact lists for targeted communication. For full instructions, see GROUPS AND CONSTANT CONTACT LISTS.
You're ready for May 19.
Your active event data migrates automatically. Consignors continue to register without interruption. Use this article as your reference for anything that needs your attention before or after the switch.
