Choosing Your Registration Path

Before you open registration, you need to decide how consignors will move through the process — and which platform handles which part. That decision lives in one place: the Event Info section of your Event Checklist. Three fields control everything. Knowing which ones to fill in — and when — determines the entire consignor experience.

The Three Fields That Control Registration

Pre-Registration vs. Full Registration: What Consignors Experience

Pre-registration is a three-screen flow. The consignor selects their participation type, confirms their profile information, and receives a consignor number. No payment is collected. No drop-off slot is selected. It is a name-collection step — fast, low-friction, and designed to get consignors into your system early.

Full registration is the complete process — everything that follows pre-registration. Depending on your setup, this happens either inside JBFOne (field B) or in TicketSpice (field C). This is where consignors pay their fee and select a drop-off appointment.

Registration Options:

Use the above chart ask a quick glance guide to help you determine what fields need filled for each process.

Scenario 1  Pre-reg Now, Full Registration in JBFOne Later

Collect names now. Open JBFOne for payment and drop-off when you're ready.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE FOR CONSIGNORS

Consignors see your sale and can sign up immediately. They complete the three-screen pre-registration flow, receive their consignor number, and are done for now. When you open full registration in JBFOne, they return to complete payment and drop-off scheduling.

HOW TO SET IT UP

  1. In Event Setup → Event Info, enter a date and time in field A (Pre-registration open).
  2. Enter a date and time in field B (Full registration open) for when you plan to open JBFOne registration. This can be a future date — consignors will not see full registration until that date and time arrives.
  3. Leave field C blank.
  4. Save changes. ✓

Pro Tip  Set field B to the date you plan to open drop-off scheduling. That way the full registration experience opens automatically without you having to remember to flip a switch.

Scenario 2  Pre-reg Now, TicketSpice Later

Collect names now. Switch to TicketSpice for payment and drop-off when you're ready.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE FOR CONSIGNORS

Consignors complete pre-registration and receive their consignor number. When you are ready to open payment and drop-off scheduling, you remove field A and add your TicketSpice URL to field C. From that point forward, consignors are directed to TicketSpice to complete registration.

HOW TO SET IT UP

  1. In Event Setup → Event Info, enter a date and time in field A (Pre-registration open).
  2. Enter a date and time in field B (Full registration open) — this is the date you want team shift scheduling to become available in JBFOne.
  3. Paste your TicketSpice event URL into field C (External registration URL).
  4. Save changes. ✓

Scenario 3  Pre-reg Now; JBFOne for Team Shifts Later, TicketSpice for Fees and Drop-off Later

The hybrid path — JBFOne handles team scheduling, TicketSpice handles payment and appointments.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE FOR CONSIGNORS

Consignors complete pre-registration in JBFOne and receive their consignor number. They can access team shift scheduling through their JBFOne account. For payment and drop-off appointment selection, they are directed to TicketSpice via the external URL after full registration is open.

Pro Tip  Set up your team schedule in JBFOne and be sure your "Team Member" card is active in the consignor summary section. This will allow them to view and chose from the Team Member schedule when it is active.

Scenario 4  Pre-reg Open Now — TicketSpice now

No pre-registration. Consignors go straight to TicketSpice for everything.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE FOR CONSIGNORS

Consignors complete pre-registration in JBFOne and receive their consignor number. When a consignor clicks Select Drop Off after their pre-registration is confirmed, they are taken directly to TicketSpice to complete the full registration process — payment and drop-off appointment included.

HOW TO SET IT UP

  1. In Event Setup → Event Info, leave fields A and B blank.
  2. Paste your TicketSpice event URL into field C (External registration URL).
  3. Save changes. ✓

Scenario 5  Fully open in JBFOne Now— everything in one place

No TicketSpice. Registration, payment, and drop-off scheduling all happen in JBFOne.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE FOR CONSIGNORS

Consignors complete the full registration experience inside JBFOne. There is no pre-registration step and no redirect to an external platform. Payment and drop-off scheduling happen in the same session. This is the fully integrated JBFOne path.

HOW TO SET IT UP

  1. In Event Setup → Event Info, leave field A blank.
  2. Enter a date and time in field B (Full registration open) for when you want registration to go live.
  3. Leave field C blank.
  4. Save changes. ✓

Pro Tip  This is the cleanest path for owners who are fully live in JBFOne. Before activating, confirm that your Fees and Tickets sections in the Event Checklist are fully configured — consignors will encounter both during registration.

Scenario 6  Fully open in JBFOne Later — everything in one place

No TicketSpice. Registration, payment, and drop-off scheduling all happen in JBFOne.

WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE FOR CONSIGNORS

Consignors complete the full registration experience inside JBFOne. There is no pre-registration step and no redirect to an external platform. Payment and drop-off scheduling happen in the same session. This is the fully integrated JBFOne path.

HOW TO SET IT UP

  1. In Event Setup → Event Info, leave field A blank.
  2. Enter a future date and time in field B (Full registration open) for when you want registration to go live.
  3. Leave field C blank.
  4. Save changes. ✓

Choose your path and build for it.

The right scenario depends on where you are in your JBFOne setup and how much of the consignor experience you want to run in the platform right now. You can start with pre-registration only and build toward full JBFOne registration over time — or go all in from day one. Either way, three fields in Event Info control the entire flow.
