Fees Rules
The Fees section of your event checklist is where you manage the registration fees consignors pay when they sign up for your sale. By adding rules, you can show, hide, waive, or adjust fees automatically based on who is registering — without manually tracking exceptions or processing adjustments after the fact.
What this article covers
- What Fees rules can do
- How to build a custom rule from scratch
- Available actions and when to use each
- Pre-built templates available in this section
- Frequently used rule setups
How to Add a Rule
Where to find it: Event Checklist → Fees → Rules tab
- Click Add a rule to open the rule builder
- Select Start from scratch — build a custom rule to build your own
- Or choose a pre-built template to start with a partially filled structure
All Available Actions in This Section
- Show fee — makes a fee visible to registrants who meet the conditions. Use this when a fee should only appear for a specific group.
- Hide fee — removes a fee from view when conditions are met. Use this to suppress a fee for registrants who should not see it.
- Waive fee — removes the fee amount entirely for qualifying registrants. The fee is zeroed out automatically.
- Set fee amount — overrides the fee with a specific dollar value for qualifying registrants. Enter the amount in the Value field.
- Send email — triggers an email to the registrant when conditions are met. Select the email template from your template library.
You can add multiple actions to a single rule using + Add another action.
Pro Tip: Use Set fee amount when you want to offer a reduced rate rather than a full waiver — for example, a loyalty discount for consignors who have attended five or more events.
Available Templates in This Section
- Waive a fee for returning sellers — skip a fee when profile criteria match
Note: Templates pre-fill the rule structure but use the same rule builder. You will still select your specific fees, conditions, and values before saving.
