Building Your Seller Resources Profile
Seller Resources is the consignor-facing guide built directly inside JBFOne. It is what consignors reference as they gather, sort, price, and prep their items — available both as a standalone document and as a side panel while they are actively tagging. This article covers how to create and build out your Seller Resources profile so it reflects your sale, your standards, and your voice.
What you'll complete in this article:
- Create your Seller Resources profile
- Use the FSC Library pre-populate option to build your guide framework
- Customize sections to match your sale guidelines
- Add, remove, and reorder sections as needed
- Understand how the finished guide appears to consignors
Understanding Seller Resources Profiles
Why this matters: Just like your What to Sell profile, your Seller Resources profile is sale-specific. The structure stays consistent, but the content should reflect the season, your location's rules, and the details that keep your sale floor running cleanly. A well-built guide reduces drop-off questions and sets your consignors up to bring better items.
It is best practice to structure your profiles as follows:
- 1 default profile — always active, covers the gaps between sales. Consignors can reference this any time, not just during an active sale.
- 1 seasonal profile per sale — updated each season with the specific details that apply: what to bring, how to tag it, drop-off instructions, and anything else that changes sale to sale.
- Additional profiles as needed — specialty sales, Back to School, or any event with meaningfully different guidelines.
Note: When you assign a Seller Resources profile to an event, that profile becomes what consignors see during that sale. Your default profile covers the gaps between events.
Create a New Profile
Why this matters: Creating the profile is the first step. Once it exists, you can build out the content inside it. Name it clearly so it is easy to identify when assigning to an event.
Where to find it: Event Setup → Seller Resources tab → + Add profile
Steps:
- Click + Add profile. Enter a Seller resources profile name (e.g., Fall/Winter or Default). Select the matching Season and confirm Status is set to Active.
- If this is your default profile, check Default profile for this location.
- Check Prepopulate from FSC Library. This loads a complete generic guide— sections, content, images, and videos — built by the FSC team. It is the fastest path to a finished guide. Click Save. ✓
Note: If you do not pre-populate, you will start with a blank profile and build every section from scratch. Pre-populating is strongly recommended — you can remove or replace anything that does not fit your sale.
Customize Your Guide Sections
Why this matters: The FSC Library content is thorough and a strong starting point, but it is intentionally generic. Your consignors benefit from guidance that is specific to your location — your drop-off process, your limits, your language. Clarity is kindness. The more specific your guide, the fewer questions you answer at drop-off.
Where to find it: Event Setup → Seller Resources tab → click the book icon next to your profile
Steps:
Open your profile using the pink book icon. You will see your full list of sections in the left panel. Click any section name to open and edit it.
- At minimum, update the placeholder content in these sections: Drop-Off, During the Sale, Pick-up & Payment, Q & A, and Team Member Resources. These contain placeholders for location-specific details that the FSC cannot pre-fill for you.
- Within each section, add Content, Image, or Video blocks using the Add buttons at the bottom of the section. Keep each block focused — one topic, one block.
- To reorder sections, drag them in the left panel. To remove a section, use the delete icon next to it. To add a new section, click + Add menu at the bottom of the left panel and fill in the title. Click Save. ✓
Pro Tip: Keep it simple. If a consignor has to read three paragraphs to figure out where to hang their clothing, the section needs a rewrite. Short, direct blocks outperform long-form explanations every time.
Adding Images and Videos to Your Guide
Why this matters: Visuals do the heavy lifting in a consignor guide. A photo of a correctly tagged item communicates more than a paragraph describing it. The FSC Library content already includes images and videos — add your own where your sale has specific requirements or local context.
Where to find it: Manage → Library → Gallery or Folders
Your Library is where images, videos, and documents are stored for use across JBFOne — including inside your Seller Resources guide. The FSC Library content is already connected. To add your own images:
Steps:
- Navigate to Library in the left menu. Click Folders then + Add Folder. Name the folder (e.g., Clothing, Drop-Off). The slug will auto-populate — you can leave it as-is.
- Select your folder, then use Upload Image to add images (JPG, PNG, or WebP — up to 8 MB each, 20 per batch). Use Upload Document for PDFs or Word files. Use Add Link to store video links.
- Once uploaded, images and links are available to insert into your Seller Resources sections using the Image or Video block options inside each section. ✓
Pro Tip: A slug is just the behind-the-scenes name the system uses to identify your folder in file paths. It is generated automatically from your folder name. You can ignore it — it works fine as-is.

How Consignors Experience the Guide
Why this matters: Knowing how consignors see your guide helps you build it better. The Seller Resources profile is not just a document — it is an active reference tool available to consignors while they are tagging their items. That context changes how you write it.
Once your profile is active and assigned to a sale, consignors can access it in two ways:
- As a standalone guide — accessible from their consignor portal as a full document they can read before drop-off.
- As a side panel while tagging — consignors can open the guide in a side window while actively entering their items in JBFOne, so they can reference your guidelines without leaving the tagging screen.

Before assigning this profile to an event, confirm the following:
- Status is set to Active
- Season is correctly assigned — or All Season for your default profile
- All placeholder sections have been updated with your location-specific content
- Drop-Off, During the Sale, Pick-up & Payment, Q & A, and Team Member Resources are complete
- Any sections that do not apply to your sale have been removed
- Images and videos are in place where they add clarity
When all of that is confirmed, this profile is ready to assign to an event during Event Setup.
