Sharing Tickets

Consignors can share their extra shopping tickets with a guest directly from JBFOne — no printing, no handoff required. The recipient claims it on their own device, and it works exactly like any other ticket once claimed: it still depends on the original consignor checking in.

What you'll complete:

  • Share a ticket with a guest
  • Understand what the recipient experiences when claiming it
  • Understand how shared tickets depend on check-in

Sharing a Ticket

Why this matters: A consignor's extra tickets are only useful if they can actually get them into a guest's hands — Share Tickets does that without any printing or in-person handoff.

Where to find it: Dashboard or Events → View Info → Shopping → Share Tickets

View Info is the fastest way in, especially for a consignor registered at multiple sales — it jumps straight to that event instead of requiring a scroll through everything.

Steps:

  1. From the Dashboard or Events tab, click View Info on the sale.
  2. Scroll down to the Shopping card.
  3. Click Share Tickets.

  1. Confirm the correct Ticket is selected from the dropdown, if the consignor holds more than one type.
  2. Enter the recipient's Name and email or phone.
  3. Click Share.

Pro Tip  The panel shows how many are left to share (e.g. “2 of 2 remaining to share”) — sharing is capped at the ticket's quantity, so a consignor can't share more passes than they were issued.

What the Recipient Sees

Why this matters: Knowing the recipient's side of this helps you troubleshoot when a consignor says their guest “can't find the ticket” — it's almost always one of these steps.

Steps:

  1. The recipient gets a text (or email) with a link to the shared ticket.
  2. Opening the link brings up a Confirm your details screen — the recipient enters their own name, email, and phone here, not the sender's.
  3. They tap Show my ticket.

  1. A QR code appears, reserved under the recipient's own name — that's what gets scanned at the door.

Shared Tickets Still Depend on Check-In

Note:  A shared ticket is not independent of the original consignor. All tickets — including shared ones — only activate once the consignor who owns them checks in through Drop Off. If that consignor hasn't checked in yet, a guest's QR code won't scan successfully at the door, even though it looks valid on their phone.

This is the same dependency covered in Check In/Out: Drop Off, Tickets, Pickup & Team Shifts — Drop Off is what turns tickets on, for the consignor and anyone they've shared with.

You've Shared a Ticket

The recipient has a working QR code tied to their own name, and it's ready to scan at the door — as soon as the original consignor checks in.
