Schedule Rules

The Schedule section of your event checklist is where you control which time slots appear during consignor registration — and for whom. Your schedule covers everything from load-in to load-out, and the slots visible to any given registrant are defined by their schedule profile type. Shoppers, consignors, and team members all have different needs — rules are how you make sure each group sees only what applies to them.

What this article covers

- What Schedule rules can do

- How to build a custom rule from scratch

- How multiple "AND groups" work together

- Available actions and when to use each

- Pre-built templates available in this section

- Frequently used rule setups

How to Add a Rule

Where to find it: Event Checklist → Schedule → Rules tab

  • Click Add a rule to open the rule builder
  • Select Start from scratch — build a custom rule to build your own
  • Or choose a pre-built template to start with a partially filled structure

The Schedule rule builder includes an optional Description field — use it to leave a note about the rule's purpose for your own reference.

Walkthrough — Early Registration Window for Returning Team Members

This rule creates a loyalty perk: returning team members get access to seller registration slots before the general registration window opens. It uses two "AND groups" — both conditions must be true for the rule to fire.

  • AND Group 1 confirms the registrant has served as a team member before
  • AND Group 2 confirms they are registering within your defined early access window

Only registrants who meet both conditions will see the early registration slot.

  • Click Add a rule → Start from scratch — build a custom rule
  • Rule name: Early registration — returning team members
  • Priority order: [your priority number]
  • Active: checked ✓

Pro Tip: Set priority order in increments of 10 (10, 20, 30) rather than single digits. This leaves room to insert new rules between existing ones later without renumbering everything.

Conditions — AND Group 1 (all conditions must match):

Context: Prior registration (profile history)

Field: has_been_team_member

Operator: equals

Value: true

Click + Add AND group to add the second group.

Conditions — AND Group 2 (all conditions must match):

Context: Date / timing

Field: days_until_event_start

Operator: greater than

Value: [your day threshold]

Then do this:

Action: Show schedule slot

Slot: [select your early registration slot]

  • Click Save rule ✓

Registrants who are not returning team members — or who register after the early window closes — will not see this slot. The slot becomes invisible to them automatically once the day threshold is no longer met.

How AND Groups Work Together

Each AND group is evaluated independently — all conditions inside it must match. When you have multiple AND groups, all groups must also match for the rule to fire.

  • AND Group 1 alone would show the slot to any returning team member, regardless of timing
  • AND Group 2 alone would show the slot to anyone registering early, regardless of history
  • Together, they target only returning team members registering within your early window

Pro Tip: Use AND groups when you need to combine different types of conditions — profile history plus timing is a common pairing. Use OR groups when you want multiple paths to the same outcome.

All Available Actions in This Section

  • Show schedule slot — makes a specific slot visible to registrants who meet the conditions. The slot must already exist in your Schedule setup.
  • Hide schedule slot — removes a slot from view when conditions are met. Use this to restrict access to specific slots.

You can add multiple actions to a single rule using + Add another action.

Pro Tip: Show and Hide work best as a pair. Use Show to surface a slot for a specific group and Hide to remove it from everyone else — giving you precise control over who sees what without creating separate registration flows.

Available Templates in This Section

  • Block registration — stop registration with a custom message when conditions are met

Note: Templates pre-fill the rule structure but use the same rule builder. You will still select your specific slots, conditions, and values before saving.

Frequently Used Rule Setups

Show a schedule slot to returning team members

Context: Prior registration (profile history)

Field: has_been_team_member

Operator: equals

Value: true

Action: Show schedule slot → [select your slot]

Schedule rules put the right slots in front of the right registrants — automatically, every time someone registers for your sale.
